H&W: Form 1095-C….are you ready for ‘Pay or Play’ Reporting?

1095c-Cheat-Sheet

Are you ready?  Many of you might call that a loaded question. Is there a way to even know for sure if we are ready?  It may be a little early to be able to answer that question with full conviction and authority, but little by little everyone seems to be getting their arms around the monster.

Form 1095-C Cheat Sheet

The IRS recently published a nifty two page 1095-C reference piece aimed at Applicable Large Employers who will be reporting on Form 1095-C.  It’s written clearly, in mostly non-legal terms, which is a nice break from the verbose nature of IRS Code and Regulations.  In other words, it’s not as threatening as Section 6056 and is a quick read.  It would be a good conversation guide as Human Resources and Accounting staff discuss the most efficient manner to gather all of the necessary 2015 data that will need to be reported in the first few months of 2016.

It’s time to get ready!
