Modifications to Notice of Privacy Practices: As stated in a previous post, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) released the final rule modifying the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations.
Compliancedashboard is addressing this final rule in a series of compliance activities. The latest compliance activity, Modify Notice of Privacy Practices, has just been added to the Dashboard.
Previously, an activity describing amendments to business associate agreements was added, and a third activity explaining the changes to breach notifications is coming soon.
